The Ranger is Back in Town

Full Lineup as of Tuesday, September 7th

New Belgium Ranger IPA

Beer glass

Ever met a New Belgium Beer Ranger? They are our beloved folks out in the field. Spanning all 26 of our states from the Pacific to the Atlantic, our Beer Rangers do their best to protect, to pour and to partake. And explore many a beer from many a brewery, they do. The fellows up in the Northwest kept calling for “more hops!” Soon it became a common theme across the land. Rangers, fans and craft lovers everywhere were searching for hoppier beers.

So, here it finally is – New Belgium’s foray into the true American India Pale Ales. Bring out the hops! This clear amber beauty bursts at the starting gate with an abundance of hops: Cascade (citrus), Chinook (floral/citrus), and Simcoe (fruity) lead off the beer, with Cascade added again for an intense dry hop flavor. Brewed with pale and dark caramel malts that harmonize the hop flavor from start to finish, Ranger is a sessionable splendor for all you hopinistas. Thank your Beer Ranger!

Grand Teton Brewing Fest Bier Marzen Lager

Our Fest Bier is offered in honor of the old ways. We brew it in the spring with German Pilsner and Vienna malts, hop it with German Hallertaus, and ferment at low temperatures with lager yeast from a monastery brewery near Munich. It ferments for weeks in our cellar, then it was moved to cold storage for further aging until its release in late summer.

The reddish Vienna malts in this beer provide a spicy sweetness and some caramel notes that perfectly complement roast or grilled chicken, pizza, or pasta with red sauce. Fest Bier is 6% alcohol by volume.

Fest Bier is available on draft for the Oktoberfest season only.
Enjoy at your local pub (or Growler Station) in September and October!

Rogue Maierfest Lager

Rogue Maierfest is dark gold in color with a solid off-white foam stand. It has a rich German malt aroma and a very distinct and complex maltness with a dry finish.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Our most popular beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, is a delightful interpretation of a classic style. It has a deep amber color and an exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. Generous quantities of premium Cascade hops give the Pale Ale its fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor.

“Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the flagship beer, the one that made Chico famous. It is a flawless beer that opens with bright, perky high notes of maltiness and orange blossom and segues into a delectable hoppiness.”

– Elaine Louie, Premier Beer—A Guide to America’s Best Bottled Microbrews

Rogue Somer Orange Honey Ale

Somer Orange Honey Ale is new to Rogue’s award-winning brews bringing with it an easy, year round drinkability. It’s unique recipe includes sweet orange peel and Oregon-indigenous Wildflower Honey from Wild Harvest Honey in Blodgett, OR, a mere 35 miles away from the Rogue Brewery in Newport, OR. This unfiltered beer is medium bodied with no harsh bitterness, it has flavors of orange and honey with a nice medium-sweet malt character.

Wind River Brewing Gayle Force Pale Ale

English Pale Ale style beer. Similar to the bitter just a larger amount of the same malted barley is used. The hops we use in this beer are imported from England and added in generous amounts throughout the boil to create a complex hop profile. This slightly sweet beer finishes with a very refreshing hop presence.

Snake River brewing Hoback Hefeweizen

Hefe is the German word for yeast and weizen is wheat, making this beer style fairly self-explanatory. The classic banana and clove-like flavors are derived from a specific Bavarian yeast. Because the beer is unfiltered, these dynamic yeasty flavors come through strongly.

Sanke River Brewing All In Amber Ale
All-In Amber is a traditional English ordinary bitter.  This beer is low in alcohol so it can be consumed in quantity. A truly balanced beer, both hops and malt are evident in each sip.  This Amber ale is dry-hopped and employs an English yeast strain with slightly fruity notes. The alcohol content of All-In is 3.9%. All-In Amber  is a signature beer of Cory Buenning. summer.

New Belgium Sunshine Ale

Sunshine Wheat is a great beer for trouncing thirst. Yet, it has a depth of character that inspires a quiet moment’s reflection. Sunshine Wheat swirls in the mouth with ripples of coriander and orange peel tartness, settling nicely into a tranquil sea of apple and honey tones.  A filtered wheat beer, Sunshine offers a crisp, refreshing alternative to heavier-bodied heffe-weizens.

Continuing with the love of the great outdoors, we introduced Sunshine Wheat in 12-Packable Cans. From fishing to camping to festivals, now you can take the Sunshine with you.

Fat Tire Amber Ale

Named in honor of our founder Jeff’s bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer’s home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, (assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire’s appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans with its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness.

Full Lineup as of Sunday, August 8th

Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Ale

Beer glass

Way smooth and silky with a nice wheaty-esque-ish-ness. Just the little sumpin’ sumpin’ we all need to kick Summer into full swing!

Thai Me Up “2×4″ Quadruple Pale Ale (Double India Pale Ale)

Beer glass

This beer is some of the hoppiest beers in the US. It has 5 seperate hops that are added in 8 seperate additions including an extensive amount of dry hopping. This is the process of adding hops to the fermenter. Thai Me up beers differ from many beers by the amount of hops we use and the slow fermentation process. The QPA was fermented at 67 degrees for 10 days and then dropped for 5 weeks. You can taste the difference. Balanced, smooth, and with less hangover potential due to the absence of ‘bad’ alcohols produced by rapid fermentation. We are one of the few breweries in the US that uses Cirta hops! Ever met a New Belgium Beer Ranger? They are our beloved folks out in the field. Spanning all 26 of our states from the Pacific to the Atlantic, our Beer Rangers do their best to protect, to pour and to partake. And explore many a beer from many a brewery, they do.

This wit pours a very hazy golden straw color, with a thin white head that clings to the glass. The aroma is very complex, showcasing notes of lemon, coriander, bubblegum and banana. The first sip tickles the tongue with a black pepper spiciness, which subsides into more mellow flavors of tart citrus fruits. A very effervescent mouthfeel leads to a crisp finish, making this the perfect beer for a warm afternoon.

Rogue Hazelnut Brown

A nutty twist to a traditional European Brown Ale. Dark brown in color with a hazelnut aroma, a rich nutty flavor and a smooth malty finish.

Sierra Nevada Charlie Fred & Ken’s Lager

Charlie Papazian and Fred Eckhart are the men who launched a thousand breweries. Their writing on the art of homebrewing and steadfast promotion of beer culture helped propel the craft brewing movement. Charlie and Fred agreed to work with us on this special ale in honor of our 30th anniversary. This Imperial Helles Lager is a testament to the ever-evolving brewer’s art. Bold yet balanced with distinct toasted malt character, moderate sweetness and clean and floral hops.” 8.3% ABV.

Snake River Hoback Hefeweizen

Hefe is the German word for yeast and weizen is wheat, making this beer style fairly self-explanatory. The classic banana and clove-like flavors are derived from a specific Bavarian yeast. Because the beer is unfiltered, these dynamic yeasty flavors come through strongly. There is merely a hint of  hop flavor added so as not to compete w

Oskar Blues Brewery Mama’s Little Yella Pilsner

Oskar Blues’ newest beer is an uncompromising, small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen, Czech Republic famous. Unlike mass market “pilsners” diluted with corn & rice, Mama’s is built with 100% pale malt, German specialty malts, and Bavarian hops. While it’s rich with Czeched-out flavor, its gentle hopping (35 IBUs) and low ABV (just 5.3%) make it a luxurious but low-dose (by Oskar Blues standards) refresher.

Alaskan Summer Ale

Alaskan Summer Ale balances a softly malted palate with the clean freshness of hops. In the tradition of the style, neither overpowers the other. Both hops and malt come together to refresh and renew the palate. The straw-gold color and easy drinkability are an enjoyable way to celebrate summer.

 Odell Brewing IPA

We took the traditional IPA, originally shipped from England to India in the 1700’s, and made it bolder and more flavorful – American Style. We’ve added new varieties of highly aromatic American hops to create a distinctive bitterness profile and an incredible hop character.

Grand Teton Tail Waggin’ Double White Ale

sesa

This wit pours a very hazy golden straw color, with a thin white head that clings to the glass. The aroma is very complex, showcasing notes of lemon, coriander, bubblegum and banana. The first sip tickles the tongue with a black pepper spiciness, which subsides into more mellow flavors of tart citrus fruits. A very effervescent mouthfeel leads to a crisp finish, making this the perfect beer for a warm afternoon.
